#vulgarity

I was reading a post from a friend of Ray's and it mentioned an acronym that I did not know. I asked Ray what it meant and he had no clue either. I looked it up and was quite shocked that it even existed and that people in our circles talk that way. . Fast forward to tonight when I was watching #TuckerCarlsonTonight and he brought up the fact that Biden did an interview with a singer ( who I also had to look up ) , whose record breaking song was about that acronym. . Here are my thoughts regarding all of this mentioned above: . 1- It is possible to have intelligent, entertaining, engaging, inspiring, fun, memorable conversations that are not vulgar. Why is there a need to curse, use vulgar language, use vulgar imagery in order to convey a thought? I speak 2 languages and can very well communicate without using vulgar language.


2- I am not a feminist. I prescribe to the feminine camp. Feminists want equal rights. Women will always be treated as a sex object if they themselves keep behaving like this "artist". This is not being equal. It is being less than. We are beautiful creatures, God made us immensely beautiful, delicate, intelligent, strong, smart, capable, intuitive, caring, and so much more. Let's pride ourselves in who we are. We really DON'T want that kind of attention. Please moms, keep your girls away from this type of entertainment. Guard their hearts. And keep your boys from looking at this as well. They have a very unique response to this type of information.


3- I am very, very careful with what is allowed in my mind, eyes, ears and heart. Bad words, violent scenes, vulgar language, explicit content are all abhorrent to me. This choice allows me to keep my mind and heart alert to the Voice that I do want to hear.

It is so hard in this day and age to stay alert and shield from everything around us. Vulgarity is everywhere! Put on the armor every day!


May I encourage you to clear out your mind and heart and ears. What movies are you watching? What music lyrics are you listening to? Singing along to? ( can you print the lyrics to your favorite songs and say them to your grandma? If not, stop listening to them! ) What are the words that come out of your mouth? How can we cuss/ bad mouth/ be crude and vulgar with one side of our mouth and bless God or bless people with the other?


My mom is just about 5 ft tall, a little thing. But she has the power to stop a person right in the middle of a conversation and tell them to stop cursing. And you know what? People respect her! Let's all be like her. Teach people how to behave. Maybe they will only do it when we are around, but that is a start!
