#Temple ( Dec 5, 2020 )

"Every saint can have his body under absolute control for God. God has made us to have government over all of the Temple of the Holy Spirit, over imaginations and affections. We are responsible for these, and we must never give way to inordinate affections."

.

Yesterday we watched the movie "Inception" again.

Without taking time to discuss the movie, it brings an insane idea to light... how powerful our minds are and what power they have over us and our lives.

.

𝕆𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕚𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕁𝕖𝕤𝕦𝕤 𝕒𝕤 𝕃𝕠𝕣𝕕 𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕪𝕠𝕦, 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕖𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖 ℍ𝕠𝕝𝕪 𝕊𝕡𝕚𝕣𝕚𝕥, 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕝𝕦𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕕. 𝔼𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕪𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕀 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕒𝕘𝕖, 𝕀 𝕗𝕠𝕔𝕦𝕤 𝕠𝕟 𝕞𝕪 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕕. 𝕀 𝕒𝕞 𝕒𝕝𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤 𝕒𝕤𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 - "𝕀𝕤 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝕚𝕟 𝕞𝕪 𝕞𝕚𝕟𝕕 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕁𝕖𝕤𝕦𝕤 𝕚𝕤 𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕝𝕝 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕖𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕠𝕥𝕒𝕝 𝕃𝕠𝕣𝕕𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡?"

.

I - and only I - am responsible to bring my body into submission, under complete control. "I can do all things " falls into this category. My body and mind can be under the submission of the Holy Spirit once I relinquish my wants and desires.

.

I believe the reason why many times I fight to hold on to my wants and desires is because I think they are better than what God has in store for me. HOW FOOLISH!!!!. God grant me the wisdom and humbleness to see that You are the only One who knows me from beginning to end.

.

May the devotion from today's passage encourage you to take stock of your Temple and ask yourself "Is there a place in my Temple where Jesus is competing for His Lordship over it?"
